Dennings was in a relationship with Nick Zano from 2011-2014, her co-star in "2 Broke Girls". Following the breakup the couple, she then started dating singer Josh Groban. The pair remained in love to the year 2016. Dennings and Andrew W.K. met in the beginning of 2021. In May 2021, they declared that their romance had begun. Dennings has been a huge fan of the musician since 2014. Dennings admits that while she was Jewish and became part in the Jewish community at a social and ethnic basis, religion is not a major aspect of her daily life. For example, she enjoys painting, reading and even gardening. When she was a child, her original plan to attend an art college was stopped after a devastating flood destroyed the majority of her art work. She decided to take this as a warning and chose to go into acting instead. She does not drink or smoke cigarettes, and is a fan of Transcendental Meditation. She is an activist on behalf of animal rights and also has one cat.
